I know most of you are about to groan, but I have to tell you… the Christmas portrait season has already begun. The Fillingim’s were the second family this month already planning their holiday cards. I won’t lie, either, I LOVE them for it! Their cards will be designed, delivered and probably addressed before the madness of October and November hits the studio. And really, when your dog is named July, what better month to have him photographed in!? 🙂

Teeny Miss Miles was such a great model and for her session we were able to get two VERY different looks– something very modern and funky as well as something very sweet and classical. I love being able to do so many different things in the studio– it makes every session a new adventure!

I had the best session with Drew this morning, just a day before his first birthday! With all the excitement and family in town, I just had to rush so everyone could see how awesome Drew was for his session! He is just starting to walk and is so incredibly proud of himself– he squeals and claps his hands in total excitement of his new achievement. How I wish that we grown ups could take a bit of this and be as happy and as pleased with ourselves! I think the world would be a much much happier place!

I feel like I have been photographing Michael and Evangel for as long as I can remember. They are so used to Olyn and I that we have to work on finding new tricks for them, because they see through all our old silliness and jokes! I love that we were able to do this session with them and incorporate their very different interests, it just tells so much more about what they are like at this age.
