We have had such a tremendous response to our pinup portraits and we were surprised to hear that so many parents liked the retro vintage painting style of finish on the images. It got us thinking and we are thrilled to announce our Nifty Fifties Special on Friday and Saturday June 17th and 18th!
From poodle skirts for the girls to leather jackets for the guys, we are ready to go back in time for a sock hop! The $29 sessions are all 30 minutes and are photographed on a white backdrop. The images are then changed in to 50’s style paintings instead of photographs! Sessions are available for children from 6 months to five years and each session can accommodate up to three siblings.
Each session will have one custom art piece created that can be purchased as a wall portrait. There is no obligation to purchase the art piece, and all other images are available in any portrait size. The image above is an example of one of the custom art pieces from this special.

Baby Gavin came into the world in a quite dramatic way. After waiting until a week past his due date, the little guy put his mommy through 28 hours of labor and then a C-section! To top that off, the little guy then got stuck in the NICU for over two weeks! His mommy called us last Friday in a rush to get his newborn portraits done, since today he is on his way to Pensacola to get a cast on his leg. I am so glad we were able to squeeze them in yesterday and I am rushing to blog this to hopefully brighten his mom’s day as I am sure she is stressed and anxious with the cast and doctor’s appointments. And to Gavin, buddy you have to give mom and dad a break now!

Aren’t teenagers supposed to be rude, moody and standoff-ish? Or at the very least difficult? The Heflin teens are anything but– they are sweet, funny, loving and easy-going. In other words, I am begging their mom to give me all the parenting advice she can! I truly hope our boys are as genuinely wonderful when they are teens!

When a mom loves photographs very often we see the same problem… she has TONS of images of her kids, her husband, etc. but hardly any that include her! This was the exact problem for the McNair family, so our beach portrait special was the perfect chance for her to be in front of the camera and make some memories WITH her family. Having so few images that include their mom will make these extra special for the kids, especially when they are older and I am so glad we were able to be a part of that!

Watching a two year old step onto the beach is one of the funniest things you can ever witness. Its like you flip a “wild switch” inside their head and it takes everything that they have to not go barreling into the ocean. We had such a blast with the Winfield family and luckily at the end of the session, Nathan was able to run head first into the waves.
