Most everyone who knows me knows how important photographic education is to me. I am constantly striving to be better, learn more and advance my art. As a part of this, I decided to try and become a Certified Professional Photographer– a task that is no simple undertaking. After studying for the massive, super technical test in January I received notice a few weeks later that I had passed! The next step was an in-depth portfolio review that could include no models, no personal projects, competition work, etc. This had to represent what I do each and every day. To say the least, it was nerve-wracking!
Well, I am so thrilled to announce that all the hard work paid off! I received notice today that I have passed all the requirements and I am now Tallahassee’s only Certified Professional Photographer! Yippee!

Teeny tiny 9 day old Baby Audrey has an absolute iron will. This stubborn little monkey fought sleep yesterday like no baby I have ever seen! Her grandma says she gets it from her mom, but mom blames dad. 🙂 Wherever it came from, she is one determined little thing! With her gorgeous little face and beautiful blue eyes, I don’t think she will ever have to fight too hard to get her way!

Springtime in Tallahassee gets no more beautiful than Maclay Gardens. Each year we have one portrait day at the Gardens and this year, it is scheduled for Saturday, April 2nd. Sessions are only $70 (half price of a normal Saturday family session) and can accommodate up to six family members.
Whether you are focusing on your child’s spring portrait, a new family image, or just your children playing in the spring flowers, this special is a great deal! Sessions are scheduled every 45 minutes, so we have time to focus on each and every member of your family.

At last month’s Tallahassee Professional Photographers Guild meeting I won five of the ten categories! Yippee! I won for Commercial, Portrait of a Woman, Portrait of a Child, Design and Social Function.
