I learned this week that a pair of curly pigtails can absolutely melt your heart. Miss Avery is adorable beyond words and she is another one of our Watch Me Grow graduates! How she turned a year old without me realizing, I will never know!

Everyone needs someone to check up on them every once in awhile. Emma Sue was definitely that person for me this week! She took a few minutes to warm up, but after that she was resolute on checking my work– and often! After every 2-3 shots, she would come to see herself on the camera’s LCD screen. Lucky for me she approved of my work!

I swear Miss M is a true Southern Belle. She has is a total daddy’s girl, a shameless flirt, she wears her peal necklace and bracelet and even though she doesn’t have words yet, she babbles at 100 miles per hour! She goes on just like she is telling you all the juicy gossip about everyone in town! In other words, she is the best kind of girl you could ever know!

Miss Bailey is going to be a leader. Even at only a year old she knows what she wants and how she wants it done! She was definitely in charge of her portrait session and we just rolled with whatever she wanted. Needless to say, it was more of a playtime type event than a portrait session, but I had a blast and I think she did too!

How do you get a wiggly one year old to stay put?? This is generally a million dollar question around the studio, but for Miss Harleigh, the answer was simple– put some boots on her! Once she had her boots on she did not budge! In all her other outfits she played and wiggled and squirmed, but those boots might as well have been made of cement! 🙂
