Mar 31, 2010 | engagement portraits
Chryssi was the lucky winner at the TAWP bridal expo of our doorprize– a free engagement portrait session! Knowing our work, Chryssi gave me complete freedom at the shoot– so we tried out a new location, Tall Timbers. I love the variety we were able to get, both in the scenery and in the expressions!

Mar 26, 2010 | boudoir portraits
What better way to end the week on the blog than with some spicy boudoir portraits? 🙂 I absolutely love Rachel’s boudoir portraits– we played in the studio with the new red background we have and I think the results are simply HAWT. And thank you to Rachel for giving me permission to share her rockin images with the world!

Mar 25, 2010 | Children's Portraits, Personal
I am so proud of myself– I actually photographed Thatcher without either one of us killing each other! 🙂 Seriously, ask any photographer– you just can’t photograph your own kid! Last time I tried, we had to completely abandon the idea and try again. For some reason, when I have the camera out, Thatcher can no longer follow any simple instructions. Mar 25, 2010 | wedding
I can’t believe Jen and Nick’s wedding has already come and gone! They booked us nearly two years ago, as Jen was an early planner and very sure of the vendors she wanted for her big day. I feel like I have known them forever and their wedding was always one way off on the horizon. I am a little sad now that its over– I am going to miss all of Jen’s emails! 🙂 The day was amazing– everyone was so lighthearted, we just literally played and had fun. I so love our couples who encourage us to be artists and just let us go!

Mar 25, 2010 | watch-me-grow portraits
Sometimes I think babies intentionally tease me. Seriously, its sadistic baby humor. They laugh and smile at me when they come in, they giggle while they get dressed and then I pick up the camera… and I get nothing. When I put the camera back down, total smiles. Its their own little joke on me, and apparently they let the other babies know how funny it is, because so many of them do it! Cason was definitely in on the joke, but I was determined not to be punked by a six month old. So after trying every trick in the book, I finally got a smile or two. 🙂
